I have rated Canaan Valley Resort a 2 star rating for the following reasons. 1. My family rented one of their cabins. While it was perfectly fine for size their website never mentioned their cabins DO NOT HAVE AC!! Being that it was July and very warm the one ceiling fan they had in the cabin only had one speed. Yes I did call the front desk and actually went up to the lodge and spoke to them in person. They sent a man to look at the fan and all he did was kept pulling the light switch chain and left. The lodge did not have additional fans. 2. Their restaurant at the lodge had a limited menu printed out on standard copy printer paper and in my opinion was over priced. No I'm not any type of cheap skate and I have no problem spending large amounts of money for a nice meal this was just not worth the price they charged. This is an unfortunate review and I have no Ill will against the staff I will just never return to this location again it was not worth it.

Our time at Canaan Valley Resort was, once again, fantastic. The golf course is in top condition. The wild here is something to behold. My wife and I like to go out in the evening and see the deer. You won't be disappointed. I would recommend this great Resort to everyone.
This course is meticulously maintained. Challenging, with forgiving fairways of the tee.

Had to move rooms around 11 pm. ( rm 217) because of bedbugs and they moved us to the North wing. They forgot/didn't clean our room on Friday. After two phone calls to the front desk, I was able to go get towels from the front desk.
